Still-Strength Tequila

After distilling, tequila will range in ABV just like mezcals. Normally tequila is bottled at 40%, but legally can be bottled as high as 55%. The ABV and flavours are adjusted by diluting it with deep-well, spring or rain water. These higher ABV tequilas are said to capture the agave's essence at its truest nature. It certainly makes for rich flavours with a creamy/oily texture which is highly appreciated when sipping as well as making great cocktails.
