Tequila - Reposado

Tequila that has been aged in a wooden barrel for more than 2 months and up to a year is called reposado or rested. Generally, oak barrels are used which gives the tequila a golden hue and the ageing process will soften the strong agave flavours without masking it - barrel ageing can add notes of fruit, spice and wood. It should never dominate the agave flavour.
