Description
Blue corn tortillas, essential for making large tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas or mopping up sauces and when a little older fry for tostadas, totopos, flautas and crispy tacos.
There are approximately 40 table tortillas to the kilo.
These 15cm size tortillas are perfect for large tacos or quesadillas or to serve at the table in a tortillero as an accompaniment to a meal. Good for Baja style fish tacos or steak tacos.

Serving Suggestion
Baja style fish taco with Chipotle Mayonnaise Recipe
Cut a boneless fillet of white fish into 2½ cm wide finger length strips. Whisk together plain flour, salt and pepper, a little pinch of Cool Chile Co Chipotle Powder, an egg and very cold beer until batter consistency. Dip the fish in the batter to cover then shallow fry in a few centimeters of very hot oil in a high-sided pan until crisp and golden, flipping halfway through. Drain on kitchen towel then serve on warmed tacos with shredded lettuce and red cabbage, Cool Chile Co Chipotle Mayo and a squeeze of lime.
Please note our tortillas are preservative free and must be refrigerated on receipt. Tortillas must be served warm, see reheat instructions below.

Storage and Preparation
- For best results griddle tortillas one at a time in a dry pan, toast both sides until warmed through and little brown spots appear if desired.
- Use a little spray of water to help re hydrate the tortillas as they reheat if a few days old.
- If necessary tortillas can be kept warm for about 15-20 minutes after reheating by stacking them in a folded clean tea towel, top and serve promptly.
